When Sam lets in a little fear one night, he’s sure it won’t be any bother. But before he knows it, the fear has grown and grown and grown. Until even the sunniest of sunny days doesn’t feel very sunny any more. There’s only one thing for it. Sam must try and be a little bit brave ….
Concept Artwork for The Little Fear (2019)
As you will see from the watercolour concept image below, the fear looked a tad different in the beginning. It lived in a land tucked behind our own, just waiting to be let in. I based the the idea of the door on Mario 2, a game which always seemed very different to the others in sequence. In the game, Mario goes through doors to a land much the same as the one he is currently in except it is night time.
